Stolen Bicycle

It's amazing how officials and the police don't want to get involved when something gets stolen from a Metro station. My grandson has been riding one of my bicycles to the Metro station, locking the bike up, and riding the Metro Rail. Last night he rode the Metro and went to retrieve the bike. Someone had cut the lock cable and stolen the bicycle. He said that the Metro Transit Police, and the Station Manager, were not all that cooperative. He spend an hour filling out paperwork, and asked that they review the tapes from the security cameras. The gave him the run around, stating that it would be impossible to identify the thief from the tapes. Maybe so, but if you zoom in, you just might get a look at that individual. My feeling is they are trying to skew statistics.  I'll leave it at that. I was thinking about buying a cheap bicycle to ride to the metro, but if I do, I will rent a bicycle locker at the station for $120 per year, in order to keep the bike safe. I'm not all that crazy about riding in the coming winter months, but it might be an easy alternative to trying to make later night bus connections, or having to park at the Wayne Avenue garage in Silver Spring, and taking the crosstown J bus. I'll have to see about it. In the meantime, I'm not a happy camper. That bike cost me over $300 used, and it was a really good bike. It's time for a little hard ass law and order. Maybe Metro will let us form a citizen watch committee, who's members can hide and observe the bike racks. Make sure there are at least three watch members at all times, so that they can be credible witnesses in cases involving theft. It's time to get tough on petty crime. If you do, the bigger stuff goes away too. It's the "broken windows" approach that worked so well, along with "stop and frisk," both of which worked very well in New York City.  It's time to get real tough on crime.

Things turn full circle. India has elected its Ronald Reagan. Narendra Modi was elected Prime Minister in a massive electoral victory. India has been ripe for this sort of thing to happen for at least 30 years. Back in the 1950s, the socialist Nehru ruined the emerging Indian economy, and drove the country into a nation of very rich and very poor. Gee, does that sound familiar? However, India was smart. They send their best and brightest here and to Australia, England, New Zealand, Canada, and other first world nations, to study STEM disciplines that would benefit both their economy, and the adoptive countries where some of them decided to stay.

Over the next 20 years, you are going to see a lot less Indians taking jobs from Americans, Australians, Kiwis, Brits, and Canadians. You might actually see Americans, Australians, Kiwis, Brits, and Canadians relocating to India for high paying tech sector jobs. Reason being, the Indian economy is going to skyrocket over the next 20 years, and become the Mecca for the tech industry. Poverty will decrease substantially in India. Eventually, you will have a huge middle class in India. And...you might be able to drink the water...

The New Saints

Tomorrow, April, 27, 2014, I'm going to be in front of the television set for the first time in about 10 years. Both Pope John XXIII, and  Pope John Paul II are being canonized saints in the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant of the canonization mass will be the current pope, Pope Francis.

Pope John XXIII, convened the Second Vatican Council in the 1960s modernizing the modern Roman Catholic Church. OK Liberals, I'll agree with you. The Catholic Church needs to modernize some more. However, keep in mind that the official policies of the Church, condemn not just abortion, but also war and capital punishment. The Church is pro-life across the board.

 Pope John Paul II, was a Conservative who is being honored with sainthood for the work he did during World War II, helping smuggle Jews out of Germany and Poland, saving them from Hitler's concentration camps. While you don't hear a lot of grief from Liberals about Pope John XXII, you hear a lot of grief about Pope John Paul II. He, along with Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and President Ronald Reagan, were responsible for creating the situation that brought down the Communist Soviet Union. Liberals, many of them who are Marxists, or at least Fellow Travelers,  have never forgiven them for helping bringing down the regime that had kept millions of people poor and enslaved to the Soviet Government. Most Liberals, or Progressives as they call themselves, in another words, Communists, hate America, because they are not in charge over the little people that they despise, and want to keep under their direct control for the "common good." He hippies, we are America, we are not the failure of Western Europe. We still have free will. Shove it.

The Chickens Are Coming Home To Roost

The truth about Obamacare is finally showing its ugly head. It's totally ironic that so many of its supporters are now having their whine and cheese party over it. I'm loving it! Recently, the AFL-CIO convention in Los Angeles, could have looked like a Tea Party rally. Speaker after speaker bemoaned the impact that the "Affordable Care Act" was having on the economy. Am I sorry? No way. You voted for Obama, and now you are getting what you paid for. It's amazing how when YOU are affected rather than just the "little people," you suddenly change your tune. You are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.  When full-time workers are cut back to less than 30 hours per week, so that the companies that they work for don't have to go bankrupt paying for inflated health care costs due to Obamacare, you will be finding yourself out on the street with NO health insurance.

Loretta Johnson, the Secretary-Treasurer of the American Federation Of Teachers ( an organization that overwhelmingly supported Obamacare), said, "We are seeing employer after employer cut hours so as to avoid the 30-hour definition of a full-time job." First of all, when did 30 hours per week become a full-time job? 40 hours per week is what is considered a full-time job, and if you are a salaried employee, you can realistically expect to work at least 45-70 hours per week, slaving for "The Man." She wants either President Obama or Congress to "fix" the law to stop it from hurting union members. In another words, she wants preferential treatment for union members. Do I hear WAIVERS? Aren't their over 1000 waivers already?  I suppose that they will happen because of political contributions to Democrats. Does anyone remember Tammany Hall?

Members of the Chicago-based, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), have gone on strike over job cuts because of Obamacare. Didn't they support Obamacare? Tyler French an Organization Director squealed, " latest excuse in a long line of many that we've seen from Corporate America." Sorry Mr. French, but you are getting exactly what you deserve. Spin this all you want, but the reality is that it's here to stay, and you and your fellow miscreants are going to have to pay the price, along with the "little people" that you claim that you love, but actually, despise.

Hey hippies, you are getting your wake up call. Hey Republicans, don't try to block this. It will only come back to haunt you, with a press that is in the president's back pocket, and all your minions that are still carrying the water for this idiot. Let it collapse! Let the entire world view come crashing down. When the liberal upper middle class gets reduced to poverty, and has to abide by the same rules as the rest of us peons, you will finally wake up. I can't wait.

Syria

Gee, I wonder how this little hippie is going to feel when lobbing a few missiles starts World War III. Will that happen? I hope not, but sorry little lady, you aren't going to like what happens if it does. First of all, remember that women are now allowed to serve in combat. The reason why the draft was limited to men was because only men could serve in combat. You are going to have to register for the draft, and if needed, you will be called up to active duty, whether you like it or not.

You say that you won't have to go, because you will have a student deferment. I don't think that the working class in this country is going to tolerate upper middle class hippies in college being exempt from military service this time around. Not only that, the working class in this country is not going to tolerate spoiled brats staging anti-war protests either. I hope that I didn't ruin your day.

The Beltway

Surrounding the Washington,  DC, area is the Capital Beltway. The Beltway is an interstate highway that circles Washington, DC. It is both a wonderful road, and a total nightmare. This morning was a total nightmare, just like it is every morning, as well as every afternoon during rush hour. DC now has the worst traffic in the country. A lot of that is because of the expansion of the Federal government in recent years. Public transportation has not kept up with the demand for a variety of reasons. Also, as I was on the Beltway this morning, heading to the Silver Spring parking garage, so I could ride public transportation for the rest of my trip (yes hippies, I'm doing my part for the environment, which most of you don't), I noticed that just about every single car had only one person in it. Most of them are government workers going to work.

We need to do something about the traffic in DC. Public transportation needs to be improved and made more convenient. Metro and Metrobus need to run 24/7. As far as funding, I have no problem with public funding for public transportation. Yea I  know, that goes against conservative principles. Also, as long as we are becoming a nanny state society, for the "common good," let's make it a requirement for all government workers to use public transportation to commute to work. Could you imagine how much public transportation would improve if those over educated liberal white people from the suburbs were forced to ride the bus with the lower classes that they claim to embrace, but really despise? It just might be the catalyst to remind them that they are public SERVANTS!!!!!

RIP Margaret Thatcher

The Iron Lady has died. Margaret Thatcher, along with Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II, worked diligently behind the scenes to enact the collapse of the Soviet Union and orchestrate the end of the Cold War. For this, these fine individuals are hated by the Left. They brought down the Left's ideological model, which was a slap in the face to the Left's love affair with Communism. Of course, there is still Chairman Mao's Little Red Book. Reading some of the vile ladled posts in my Facebook news feed, you would think that Prime Minister Thatcher was evil incarnate. I guess to Liberals she was. However, I believe that she, along with President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II are exactly the kind of leaders that this world now needs.

These individuals stood for something, whether you believe in what they stood for or not. Will Thatcher be remembered 100 years from now? Yes. Will Ronald Reagan? Yes. Will David Cameron? Probably not. Will Barack Obama? Yes, but I don't think in a very positive way. Then again, it will depend on who writes, or re-writes our history. As of right now, I believe that he will be remembered as the president who took the United States down. Would Mitt Romney or John McCain be remembered in 100 years if they had been elected president? More than likely neither of them would have been more that a blip in some history book. Will the squishes that are the leadership of the Republican party? I hope not.

The three individuals listed above understood good and evil, and they worked to eliminate evil. I only wish that they had taken things further, and after the Soviet Union collapsed, and Marxism moved in earnest to the worlds of academia, technology, and culture, they had gone after these industries with a buzz saw. I believe that if they had, we wouldn't be faced today with the destruction of the middle class and working class that is taking place both here in the United States, as well as in Western Europe and Great Britain.

Thank you Margaret Thatcher for doing your part to make this world a better place. Along with Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II, may you now enjoy your hard earned rest.
